PES MUN Society
The Model United Nations society of PES University — home of PeCon, For The Record and Diplomat Wars.
The Society
Founded in 2013, the PES MUN Society has cemented itself as a formidable force on the Model UN circuit, known across the southern collegiate circuit for competing at — and winning — conferences nationwide. The Society has brought home 28 Best Delegation awards from reputable Model UNs hosted by institutions such as BITS Goa, Vellore Institute of Technology, School of Law Christ University and NLS.
PeCon — The People’s Conference
PeCon is the Society’s flagship Model United Nations conference. Since its first edition in 2015 it has welcomed over 4,500 delegates from more than 50 schools and colleges across India, and has grown into one of the biggest conferences in South India. The eleventh edition takes place on the 17th and 18th of October 2026.
For The Record (FTR)
For The Record is the Society’s official editorial blog and publication initiative — a structured platform for members to voice considered opinions on international events, policies and global documents.
Articles and analytical templates are written by junior members under the careful guidance of experienced seniors, and published on the blog and across the Society’s social media pages.
Diplomat Wars (DW)
Diplomat Wars is the Society’s signature annual MUN and debating event — an introductory yet intense platform for newcomers and experienced delegates alike to step into the world of diplomacy, negotiation and crisis management.
Across two days, five multi-tiered rounds test reasoning, crisis handling and public speaking, and the event doubles as a gateway for students to earn a place in the PES MUN Society. The latest edition, Diplomat Wars 6.0, took place on 14–15 March 2026 at PES University’s RR Campus.
